Mika to make the movie of Carmen’s life NZ entertainer Mika has secured the rights to make a film based on the life and times of Carmen Rupe — NZ’s most famous maori transsexual who is now based in Sydney. With the film being shot in January 2008 onwards Mika is looking for any images or newspaper clippings that you may have tucked away in your archives to help with the production.
