Buckwheat bows out after nine years with NZAF Edward Cowley, aka drag celebrity Buckwheat, is leaving his role at the NZ AIDS Foundation on the 5 October. His new career move will be motivational training and special projects with the Ministry of Social Development. NZAF’s executive director Rachael Le Mesurier says, “Edward has been a remarkable asset during his time with the foundation. We have been appreciative of the groundwork he laid in respect to our relationships with Pacific communities and as community liaison for gay men’s health. He has built great relationships with gay businesses and the broader Auckland gay community.”
