I have had an add on NZ Dating as female since it started and I think my partner Shelina has had one on there almost as long. We were continually pressured to move to the Trans section when it was made available but,as we pointed out to management many times, we are not interested in the tranny-chasers and deviates that this section seems to attract and anyway, it is a clear case of discrimination to refuse us as anything other than "female" listings.
Things came to a head last year when both our profiles were removed and I started legal action against NZ Dating (New Zealand City Ltd). I would have won and they knew it!

They backed down and now allow TS in the female category which is where we should be. Although we both had "transsexual" stated on our profiles it is still our right when, where or if at all to tell someone about our gender/sexuality differences and nobody elses.

It is good to have a "trans" category if that is the type of people you want to attract but it is also our right to be treated as female and be listed appropriately.

NZ dating offered to re-instate our profiles but we told them we were not interested in them any more as they were a pack of bigots and NZ Personals was a much better site and offered much better services.

I am a full member of NZ Personals and have been a member there since it started as well. Trial membership is limited but it is only a means to sample what the site offers. If anyone likes the service then please sign up.....you get full use and the money is need to keep things running as well as keeping the advertising to a minimum.

Also, a site which encourages "paid up" members has more serious people on it and less casual deviates.

Complaints about persistent pests are taken seriously by the management and usually results in their membership being cancelled.

Still, the idea of an "ugly mugs" list similar to the system run by NZPC is basicly good so long as it is not abused. Men who stand women up or hit on them on first date (or even before that) are just being what they are.......men and not necessarily black-list material. Anyone placed on it should be given the opportunity to explain themselves, appologise etc.

 

Ok...but as far as I can see they are still bigoted pricks.............
