Closing DownDue to ill health I need to address my own medical issues so with regret I announce that after 18 years providing support for the Trans community it is finaly time to wind this up. Trans Care Trust still have funds so will be oprerating on a limited basis providing advice and some financial assistance to selected people in need. Our video library will also continue to be available.
With today's level of acceptance and the wealth of information available on the internet they days of support organisations are almost over.
The best advice I can offer is "be youself". It is not the makeup, nor the clothes that makes you accepted it is how you present yourself, your inner convictions and confidence. That is not to say you should not make an effort but do not overdo it and do not rely on that alone. Avoid loud people who profess to be experts and who use the word "I" more than once in a sentence and do not become dependant on support groups or the "trans whatever" society. Listen to people, take anything usefull on board but do you own thing and live you own life.
