I have been with Slingshot since before it was even called Slingshot.

On the morning of 29th January 2010  I phoned your 0800 helpline from my mobile because we had no phone service.

I had a simple request...was the fault due to Slingshot or something else?

 

What followed turning into a nightmare and had me considering cancelling my account.

My call was answered by an operator (Felicia) who was extremely rude and insulting to me.

She deliberately miss-read everything I said to her, basically called me a liar and added some more extremely insulting comments.

When I asked to be put through to her supervisor she hung up on me.

I called again and was again insulted by an operator who's name I could not understand, he with much bad grace did put me through to a supervisor.

This so-called supervisor (Rick McKenzie) raised his voice, talked over me and was also rude and insulting.

He did finally agree to look into why his staff were so rude and also investigate why I had no phone service.

He made no apology however for his own rudeness

 

The phone service was restored several hours later. It was the fault of contractors!

I had a message on my landline advising me to phone Slingshot and lodge a fault complaint! (ticket #2439738)

What total idiot would leave a message on a landline about no service on a landline!

I am shocked and disgusted by the attitude of you call centre staff and have prepared a report for the Human Rights Commission on the matter.

I am also considering taking this matter public through the various newspaper column and blog sites I contribute to but will wait for you comments first.

 

Is this the way you train your staff to treat your customers?

If so I will advise people to think very carefully when choosing an ISP.
