Dick Smith

On Thursday November 14th 2002 I was deliberately referred to as "sir" several times by a shop assistant at Dick Smith electronics in Onehunga. I took offense to his over-all attitude so complained. After many letters and threats of court action I have finally got an apology from the person concerned.
If we all do this every time we come across this sort of thing it would soon change their attitude.

My initial letter of complaint
Their response  Basicaly a wash-over hoping I will go away
My reply   saying thats not good enough
My letter to Consumer affairs  Asking what I can do
Consumer Affairs Reply  Telling me its not their problem
Letter to DSE  Telling them I am taking it to the human rights commision
Letter from DSE  Finally they get the person concerned to apologise
Apology  At last. Bet he wont do that again
