My business partner and I are the people who eventually won the Trademe auction for Logan Campbell's brothel "Chicago".
It was offered back at fixed price after the original winners of the auction said no.
We subsequently found out why they said no.........
Logan and his business partner Hugo presented us with a few (computer generated) selected profit and loss sheets and a few hurriedly completed day sheets then tried to pressure us into signing a contract on the spot. The fact that the contract was for "chattels only + gst", not as advertised made us suspicious so we referred it to our lawyer who was pretty dubious about this obvious attempt at fraud. (Advertised as a going business). The actual ownership of the chattels are in question as well and the owner of the building can not be contacted.
We later found that just about all the paperwork offered us was forged or altered in a way to be miss-leading, and the business was loosing about 1-2 $k a month. There were only 2 - 4 girls still working there because of some pretty bad accusations against the owners and also allegations regarding drugs, money owed to dealers and heavies turning up looking for the owners.
The company which owns the actual building is struck off, they set up a new one in the same name in an attempt to scam us but basically there is no way the lease could be transferred.
What was more disapointing is that a member of our own community was in on it and tried to suck us in to get out of being the lease guarantor
We are not rich, just a couple of girls trying to do something instead of sitting on our bums on the benefit.
That and we thought we could improve things for the working girls being explioted in the industry.
Yeah right....we almost got screwed ourselves by this lying, cheating pimp and his buddy.
Logan and his buddy Hugo are just a couple of rich boys not only ripping of the girls in a barely protected industry but also trying to scam everyone else.
A whole lot of people went public about how great Logan Campbell was etc etc.
Now they are going to look a bit silly!
As no one has the balls to have a go back at them.......it seems to be up to us girls.
So far we have been threatened on the street outside Chicago by a drug dealer looking for money and also my motorcycle has been damaged!
We are concerned about our safety so the whole matter has been reported to the police, not just by us but also by ex-employees of Chicago. We too have martial arts experience and are also condidering being armed when we go out in public.
They will find us a bit harder to stand over than defenceless girls in a brothel.
It has all been recorded on our weblog and we are considering either publishing it ourselves or just give it to someone in the media.
